This is a wonderful, colorful quilt made like a 'crazy quilt' because of the use of many different fabrics sewn together. By the type of cheerful fabrics used, we date this quilt 1930s to 1940s. It is made up of 3 1/2 inch to 4 inch squares of numerous different patterns with a blue colored cotton backing that is also a 1 inch edging around the top side. The squares look to be machine sewn together while there is a hand quilted L shape square pattern over the whole quilt. This crazy quilt is in very good, used condition. There are a few light stains and wear spots in various places. A couple of squares have been replaced with a muslin material. This quilt measures 65 inches x 78 inches. It is shown covering a double/full bed in the picture. This is a terrific vintage 30s crazy quilt to decorate any room or add to your quilt collection!
