George Washington Cut Plug Round TOBACCO TIN

This is a large size George Washington brand tobacco tin. The red & blue colors of the tin make it a great piece of Americana. It has a large, cylindrical shape that measures 6 1/4 inches tall x 5 inches in diameter. The tin is in very good condition with some small rust spots scattered around. Most rust is on the high edges of this tin. The lid comes off fine & the tin is empty but does still have some tobacco crumbs. There is some slight fading of the background blue color on one edge between the 2 graphics. It still has the seal across the top but it is broken of course. A stamp on the seal reads: FACTORY NO 8, District of N.C. and dates February 1931. There is some paint wear spots mostly on the base and lid. This tobacco tin has wonderful graphics. In the Antique Tins book by Fred Dodge, this tin lists for as high as $75.00. The size, shape and graphics on this tobacco tin make it a great piece to add to any tobacciana or Americana collection! It is excellent for the George Washington fans as well!
