This is a terrific early cabinet card photograph of a Cowboy from Eastern Oregon. He wears a cowboy hat, denim jeans and a scarf and overcoat. He is standing, leaning on a beautiful coverlet with great detail. He is holding a cigar in his hand. The photographer name printed on the bottom of the card is G. I. Hazeltine, Canyon City, Oregon. The printing is in gold and there is a gold leafed edge on this card with no wear. The condition of the photograph is excellent with some light wear probably from being stacked with other cards over time. There are a few tiny soil spots also. The backside is blank except for a name nicely handwritten in black ink, 'Grandad Swift', who was from the Baker City and John Day area of Oregon. His son, Dean Swift, served in the 371st Aero Squadron and the 166th Depot Brigade in WWI. This is a wonderful cabinet card with a cowboy western subject that is a 'must have' for your photography collection!
