This is a fabulous cabinet card photograph of a group of 6 Cowboys. Three of these Oregon gents are standing and 3 are sitting. All are wearing hats and vests and show lots of character. This photograph is from an estate from Eastern Oregon. The man standing in the middle is 'Grandad' Swift, who was from the Baker City and John Day area of Oregon. His son, Dean Swift, served in the 371st Aero Squadron and the 166th Depot Brigade in WWI. This photograph is mounted on a fancy, navy blue colored cabinet card and has bevel cut edges with gold leaf. The printing on the bottom of the card in gold reads: J.J. Pierson,* Photographer. The condition of the photograph is excellent with some light wear on the edges. There are a couple tiny soil spots also. The backside is blank. This cabinet card dates c. 1870's-1880's. This is an excellent, fancy cabinet card with great cowboys that is a great addition to your photography, cabinet card collection!
