This little souvenir spoon commemorates Commodore Dewey from the Battle of Manila in 1898. It is most likely silver plated. The bowl features 'Flagship Olympia' with an embossing of the ship. It also reads 'Battle of Manila, May 1, 1898'. It is marked Standard on the back side. This spoon measures 4 3/8 inches long. It is in very good condition with some tiny tarnish stains and pitting only in the bowl as you can see in the picture. This unusual souvenir spoon is a must have for any souvenir spoon collection or history buff!
